Why not sell here, statistically 50% of the people on the forum are nice people :ROFLMAO:
Who, Apart from Bouba, Hacket, Viago, Refueller, Poignard, Mister E, Kevin V, Boathook, Wansy, Hoolie, Zoidberg, Capnsensible, RunAgroundHard & me (of course) Are the other 50% of nasty people ?

You include Wansy in a list of people related to buying something? Hah. He makes Facebook timewasters look like instant acting buying agents.

I use Facebook Market place very successfully to sell sailing equipment as well as other stuff. I would recommend that you use it. Your post will be anonymous and folks will contact you via messenger. It's up to you to take them on or not. It's a lot easier than eBay and Gum Tree. I have never sold on eBay, it appeared a hassle, but that is just a perception. I have also bought from here successfully, many items and find good service, no hassle.

I would recommend FaceBook MarketPlace.

I will look into how to use Facebook, thank you.

Don’t get it. Why not sell it on here. It’s the gear we all might use.
As for Facebook marketplace it is very good and easy to use.

All true. I had for many years an aversion to Facebook. I still have my profile completely locked down but I have started using marketplace. You do get time wasters and chancers though.

I’ve had good results on these forums but it’s all very mixed.

I put an almost brand new microwave still in its original packaging on Marketplace and got a load of time wasters offering me £20. It sold easily on eBay for nearly £50 (the buyer paid over £60 including postage.

A Sterling four stage battery charger got no interest on here but just sold for nearly £45 on eBay (plus postage).

I would rather sell here for ease and let things go cheaper as I do on motoring forums, but I am not allowed.

See post eight I think.

People say I am too new to the forum.

I must mature a bit more they think. Expect some odours as I mature.

Send a Private Message to John Morris to see if he can sort it out for you.

You might take my place since I seem to have been chucked off the For Sale forum!
Perhaps there is a glitch in the forum?

Other forums I belong to don’t have probationary periods.

I am also good at slipping through nets and being missed off waiting lists and so on.

Beware the 'going down of rabbit holes', misun!

I was idling my life away earlier when I was pointed towards an ad for a very functional Sadler 34 at a knockdown price. I was just reaching for the phone to arrange a swift visit with c'card in hand when Milady came in and spotted what I was doing.

I got a whack on the wrist and sent to the 'naughty step'....

:giggle:
