We will be arriving at the med via the Rhone at the end of April. We need to re antifoul, do a few below waterline jobs and arrange for the mast (currently in Honfleur, to be delivered). We only need a few days out of the water, and would be grateful for suggestions as to where might be cheapest, and also a good place to get the mast delivered.
Thanks

You don't really have a lot of choice, do you?

There's Port Saint Louis bottom left or turn right just before Arles into Canal du Rhone de Sete and go to Port Camargue, Aigues Morte,Sete or Agde.

Have you got a provisonal delivery date booked for the mast yet for if not get cracking as things WILL NOT go as smoothly as you want or expect.

Back in 1998 I found Port Napoleon, Port St Louis Du Rhone, clean, economical and friendly. You could do worse. They ran a mast delivery service from there, to the North french coast. Others said the Naval Service Company in the same place good but they wanted a bit more from me.

If you care to go about ten miles along the coast, many people stay in Martigues [sic]. Better traval facilities there.

we had a boat delivered by road transporter to southern france, and were offered L'Estaque, west of Marseilles, because (they said) it had good access for a big lorry, and reasonably priced helpful crane drivers and they could pretty much turn up unannounced and get the sercvices they needed.
