I need a pair of Musto Performance MPX coastal womens trousers and a pair of sea boots. Gosh arn't they expensive! Has anyone found a reliable but reasonable stockist for this kind of thing?

Bit far from South West scotland.

Chandleries all seem to charge about the same price. maybe do a search through Google to find some discount stores that will mail order?

Slightly off topic but would apppreciate your input: We just discarded our 25 yr old Henri Lloyd's ! stiff, heavy and no longer waterproof. What would you folks suggest is the BEST we can buy? We sail offshore E Coast USA ,Bermuda and the Carribean so cold not a factor. Jim. SV. "Moonlighting"

DEfinately worth looking through the mail order companies on the yachting press and also online- try marine-super-store.com
I got a half price Musto HPX smock from there.
There are also some good deals around at present for whole MPX suits, but not the female specific. I recently bought MPX ladies salopettes for my wife and could not find them on special offer anywhere. It seems to be the bulk selling unisex stuff that is on offer.

In reply to Jimboaw, I love Musto stuff, but I'm sure there will be loads of personal opinions. Musto MPX is great and not stupidly expensive compared to HPX. the smocks are nice, but involve some wrestling to get on and off. Very waterproof once on as thay have neck a dry suit neck seal. The MPX smocks have less restrictive neoprene seals which are probably more comfortable and rub less.

Not MPX and not women's but just got an excellent price on some end-of line stuff from http://www.discountsailing.com (advertise in the mags as Purple Marine). Henri Lloyd coastal, breathable 'trews' for 30.00 (from 90.00) but only in size L & XL, coastal breathable jacket from 190.00 down to 90.00. I was slightly dubious and expecting a catch (seconds or whatever) but when they turned up they are top quality in condition and material (for coastal). I'd definately use them again to buy from!
