Best place to buy oil?

Guys, anyone purchased any oil on-line? Where's the best place to buy it if so?

I'm about to service my 63P's and I'm looking to buy about 10 gallons.

Surely your local fuel depot is the best place. Delivery would cost a fortune.

I use CPL Petroleum, I work on the principle if it's good enough for the local fishermen and ferries then it's good enough for me, and of course the price is right.

Any truck factors or even argicultural suppliers who do suitable stuff. It will be cheaper in 25l drums but they are hard to pour out of!

you can get all-but Volvo spec oil, but it doesnt seem THAT much cheaper. No one seems to know what that final Volvo spec actually does !
Given the enormous annual expense, I concluded an extra £10-20 on the Volvo stuff (on newer engines,anyway) at least might give some comfort if there is a problem. Probably not in reality, but...!! And at least you can buy the Volvo stuff!

Tincknells in Plymouth (by the Cattewater) will do Shell Rimula which imho is just about the best you can get. In Exeter they also deliver for free so presume the same down your way.

Volspec supplied mine £15 per 5 litres, Bought a whole host of other bits at the same time so carriaage wasn't really an issue.
Make sure you get long drain, slow drain ie sticky stuff! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Basic diesel fleet oil retails at £42.00+Vat for 25L at our local motor factors.
Suspect it would be the same price just about anywhere.
