Best paint to repaint rusty engine feet (and possibly engine!) with?

Hammerite is OK bit there are far better products these days. I have restored many old car engines and have found that any good enamal engine paint Works well but good preparation is essential. Get the grease and oil off and throughly clean and it will last for ages. For the best results I use POR15 enamal engine paint. The good news is that it's available in many colours. Try frost.co.uk for supply. You may be able to match original colour.

Any Agricultural tractor dealer will have a range of tough suitable paints. My boat engine is painted Case tractor wheel grey.
