Best new or old stable inflatable tender? - not pvc disposable...

I think for good reason too. Hypalon might last longer but ten years in it does still look a bit shabby and I think most of us prefer a new dinghy. Plenty of cars would last 20 or 30 years but how many people actually keep them that long?

I don't buy a car till it's 15 years old. :)

It's easy to live in your own bubble. I recall a bloke on here said something similar: "How many people do you know with an open fire!" That got me thinking; I don't know many people without an open fire.

.

Not sure if available in the UK, or even if they're still being made, but we had a 2.4m hypalon rib made by Walker Bay which meets all those requirements; we bought it because it carried a heavier payload and was far more stable than anyone else's. I'm pretty sure they make a 2.7m version too.
If you want to see one check out the 'Adventures of an old Seadog' YouTube videos, that's who has ours nowadays; it'll be eight years old and has travelled halfway around the world now and still looks in good oder and patch free

I can’t tell who you think is living in a bubble, me or you 🤣

We don’t own a car, we live on a boat 😎

So just as a side note and just for reference. These are for sure on the very expensive side and never going to happen but I do like a list!

New Hypalon tenders
Seago Hypalon 240/270/300 air floor £1389+
3D tender hypalon 290 €2,615.00
Storm VY27 Aerodeck £2,150.00

New Small Hypalon ribs
Plastimo 2.7m Hypalon Rib €2,400.00

Its a pretty small list these days. I think a second hand Avon or a Walker bay rib is going to be my recommendation however its up to the man himself!

It's been a very interesting debate with some good experiences shared

thanks

I have a ABII 8 with aluminium floor, secondhand but still holds it's pressure.Stable and easily onto the plane.
I used it to transport dog to all beaches 2x a day. Avatar now sadly put down so no longer needed.
We also have a aluminum hulled small rib for a dinghy....I didn’t get the aluminum floor...which proved a mistake as it was too slippery for the dog...so I had to make a wooden floor for it. It has a rubber keel protector so pulling up beaches won’t damage it. It’s lasted two dogs....and our present dog (in the avatar) now has advanced prostate cancer 🙁
My mother always said....in the end animals always break your heart

Probably worth mentioning that these will have PVC aero floors which are like paddleboards. If you intend for it to last then buy a couple of spare floors
