Best Nav kit

The Raymarine glass bridge gets the closest but even that doesn't have the greatest resolution - the small screens are in fact the same resolution that I have on my old system.
And as for video inputs, I would want:-
1 - A PC input (HDMI would be good)
2 - 3 (+ a spare) non IP camera inputs (maybe HD-SDI would be quick enough)
3 - And I like the idea of an "off the shelf" main nav system
4 - The ability to quickly switch between video inputs

If I were Magnum right now, I would be depressed - there is nothing that suits me.
My next step would be to look at Two Hooters suggestions and bespoke the whole installation.

Is any of this stuff any good , 17 and 19 inch monitors ,various accessories, etc -- seem to able to plug most things in and not an arm and a keg ?

IMO, for a top of the range - multi input system, the key seems to be the display itself.
So that kit doesn't really address requirements for a system that I like.

B and G for Sailing
Simrad for Powerboats
Lowrance for fishing

They all share some of the same functions with additional aspects suited to the above applications.

I had forgotten about B & G
Their Zeus 3 16 has a good resolution - supports 2 analogue video inputs and ethernet
So, it might be worth looking further into.

I was keeping out of this now that I’m a Sailor :) but I’ve just specced 2 x Zeus 3 plotters for my new boat....
They look responsive and sharp, plus they finally have built in Wi-Fi.

From a personal point of view, I would want to get a PC feed into them.
Also, only the 16 model is proper HD - the smaller ones have a lower resolution.
Still, I would spend some time to see if B & G did the job for me.

I'm actually quite surprised how well our old system compares with the modern offerings of glass bridge systems.

I find this odd as i have seen many 2015> plus Sunseeker 86's for sale with cameras integrated into the system. They all had Hatteland displays too so i guess they are their glass bridge monitor of choice.
 
They must be using analogue cameras with a dedicated switching unit, which doesn't come close to the flexibility of an IP system.
