Put together a compilation for playing in rough weather! It makes the experience of rounding the Horn in stormy conditions a stimulating one with the CD blaring out at high volume.

Sibelius – Finlandia Op.26
Beethoven's 5th symphony
Tchaikovsky’s piano concerto 1, B flat minor
Verdi - Aida - Grand March
Verdi - Nabucco - Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves
Naval Hymn - The Red Army Choir (from Hunt for Red October)!

I would add the final movement of the Sibelius Violin Concerto to that list.

So did I ; haven’t got as far as Cape Horn yet, but these from a few films ( ‘can you tell what it is yet ?’ ) do the trick on a laptop, getting the adrenalin flowing !…

Surprised by the rock bias here... but I like it!

Am listening to W.A.S.P at the moment, 'Forever Free' and the chorus is 'I ride the wind forever free' ....... well that is until they find a way of taxing it.

Godsmack's "straight out of line" for me if it's rough.

WASP "Inside the Electric Circus" tour at the Hammersmith Odeon was my first proper rock gig. IIRC Heavy Petting were the support act and were going down like the titanic. The Lead singer made the mistake of shouting "Do you want some more Rock 'n' Roll" between songs and the audience to a man shouted back "NO!"

Happy Daze :)
