Everyone knows Gustav ripped that intro off from Ritchie Blackmore ("Eyes of the World").

Perhaps a bit too obvious but for Portland (or alderney) you could actually do worse than Yello's "The Race"

WASP "Inside the Electric Circus" tour at the Hammersmith Odeon was my first proper rock gig. IIRC Heavy Petting were the support act and were going down like the titanic. The Lead singer made the mistake of shouting "Do you want some more Rock 'n' Roll" between songs and the audience to a man shouted back "NO!"
