Best Make/Price/Supplier of semi-flexible solar panels

Hi Demonboy,
Yes, I did just copy the text from a regulations website and at the moment i have no first hand experience.
However next monday I will be flying to Dalaman from munich with a suitcase full of parts for my boat and I dont want to pay duty as I have lots of parts. I was/am hoping that what I read on the internet is correct. I guess the only way to find out is to land in dalaman and see what happens.
Thanks for your answer
John

I was going to PM you but we should share this knowledge:

As long as you are flying direct and/or with a chartered flight, you should have no problems. The one time I got stopped and tutted at by the customs guys for bringing in a car stereo was when I flew with Turkish Airlines and did a transfer at Istanbul. The flight was a late one into Bodrum and it was out of season.

The last time Liz and I brought stuff of value into Turkey we just made sure we looked like tourists. She had a big sun hat on and I carried her guitar (which she has yet to learn to play!) and did our best to blend in with the other holiday makers. You know, look lost and hassled.

If you do get stopped you could always say you had taken the item back home to be repaired as there was nowhere to get it done in Turkey. Not particularly convincing but if you look pleadingly at them and they've had a good day you might be lucky.

Hi Demonboy,
Yes you were right, I had no problems on the charter flight. When I came to the gate there was no-one there so I just walked out with my bag. Well that was a relief. If I was stopped then I can imagine a long procedure...questions etc etc.
Thanks again for your help
John
