Best Gloves for cold fingers

I get that white finger syndrome thing when out in the cold and it can make me nauseus, but i love fishing and boating over winter.Last year i bought some battery operated gloves that put some warmth- but in essence they were cheap rubbish and one dont work now.
What is the panels view on the best winter gloves that are waterproof but warm- i would go for battery again if i can find a really decent pair and am happy to pay a fair amount, they will be Xmas box to self!!.

Any recommendations would be appreciated

the problem with using gloves for fishing is that you have to remove them to bait up, i have never had a pair that are thin enough to allow you to bait up and also warm,but sealskins are getting some good reviews

You might find that Gill Helmsman gloves pretty good, and you can always put a hot pad inside to give a boost. I have a wight fingered friend who is pretty happy with this solution.

The first mate suffers from Reynaud's syndrome, and I, er, I mean Santa got her some outrageously expensive Gerbing heated motorcycle gloves. (We'd previously found 'cheap' heated gloves, boot insoles, etc, a waste of money.)

She's found them very good. Seem well made. They can run off either a rechargeable battery in each cuff (gauntlet style), or be plugged into 12 volts via cigar lighter socket, or w.h.y. Heat level is adjustable.

She's also found disposable charcoal hand & feet warmers very useful.

If warmth is top priority, go for a thin pair of gloves and wear them inside windproof mits.

Go for some of these and wear pretty much any other gloves underneath. You'll be warmer than everyone else, waterproof, happy bringing up the anchor, and most of all you'll have £30 in your pocket that you didn't spend on gloves that promise the earth and still end up damp. Get several pairs of cheap woolies for underneath and you can swap them out if water comes in at the wrist (that's the only place it will)

Try merino wool glove liners in whicheverh waterproof gloves you choose. Thin, lightweight and warm - can get from Cotswold Outdoors.
