Best filler for damaged teak deck ?

Filler is no good, it will stick out like a sore thumb. the best way is to rout out a circle of 3 or 4mm deep, then epoxy glue a teak plug with matching grain if possible, trim off with a sharp chisel when its hard. How do I know? A neighbours house rendering fell off crashing down onto my stern deck I needed about a dozen plugs, but 15 years later its difficult to see where they are.

I have seen a cabinet maker pour methylated spirits onto wood and set fire to it. This provided the heat and moisture to get the wood to rise. Perhaps a carpenter can confirm this is what is done. Of course don't actually burn the wood so extinguish the spirit flame before it is all burnt. good luck olewill
