What does everyone think? Something which will dry quickly, like, what's the stuff called, Draylon? I'll be doing it myself on my trusty machine, so don't fancy sewing a bunch of vinyl, though I love that retro feel. We need new covers for our saloon seating and I'm looking at options.

Cheers all.

Had ours done professionally and we were told to choose whatever we liked, but advised to stick to 100% synthetics. Good advice - that was 5 years ago.

We have a hunter Legend and went to the manufacturer who supplied fabric that was being fitted to the current range of boats at a reasonable price.

Wife (SWMBO rather offensive in context) did our cussions about 6 years ago in heavy-weight cotton fabric. It's quite a major undertaking. She unpicked the lot and kept the originals as templates. We reused the PVC backing panels. Some of the original zips failed, so seams had to be sewn up. Still going strong, though some mildew on the cover nearest the hatchway. Cover came up well on a hot wash with Ariel tablets.

Think I'd go for DRALON type a second time though.

Yes, I can use a sewing machine too..........how would I make skirts without one.

Car seat fabric.
The colours are usually pretty colour fast, inoffensive and the fabric's quick to dry.
Usually lots of choice.

Regards

Richard.
