Various posts saying such and such a colour good, such and such a colour bad. White always seems a good bet, blue hulls look good and somehow traditional but can fade. Green IMHO somehow does not seem to suit and some would say it is unlucky.

In this country blue attracts heat which can be a definite benefit, probably not so in the Med, guess you want to keep cool there.

Any other colours favoured and for what reasons?

most practical colour = white with black antifoul

nice colours =
blue with BLACK antifoul not blue (goes light blue) nor white/grey
real wood (tho v hard work),
near-black like Brittania

ghastly colours = yellow, orange, red

unlikely yet fab paint jobs:
silver like pershing88 and
(amazing) marble-effect sailboat hull seen in med.

Re:oops

When I sed white, I meant creamy white of course. Yes, dreamy creamy white dearest yes yes that's right pretty much that colour you said that you like yes anyway you'll love it when you see it. Especially at night all lit up and very smart all christmassy rather than very harshly too bright. Oooh no, and not to dark either, course not. Well, everyone says its a fabulous sort of creamyish white, very sophisticated, and makes anyone on board look like a film star! It only looks that colour with the flash from the camera, see, like for example some people eyes are red with a camera. No, not yours except - oh right yes not your camera. yes indeed. Anyway, you've got your sunglasses on now, see, so take them off and - no? well put them back on if its better like that.

Creepy crawler

And she calls it cream after all those hours whipping MrB into action, cleaning, polishing, buffing and when all that's done she wants the boat washed as well.................

Is there no satisfying MrsB???????

Most boats = blue topsides. It doesn't fade imho if looked after/maintained. But some need white

Also certain boats need something different. Cigarettes need whacky graphics. Pershing 88 needs silver. Rivas need high gloss wood

Re: Of course. Eventually. ;-)

Better, but much prefer you as Kylie Minogue;-)

BTW I vaguely remember you telling me a joke about KM, but can't for the life of me remember the details. Please post it?

Re:Nelly, who the xxxx is Nelly

Don't even vaguely remember a joke about Nellie, but have definite hazy recollection of one about Kylie;-)

For Coliholic only. Do NOT read if easily offended

Elton John and Rod Stewart were walking in Central Park when they came across Kylie Minogue on her hands and knees with her head stuck between some railings.
Not being one to pass up such a chance, Rod Stewart whipped her knickers down, dropped his pants and gave her a good seeing to.
Standing up, he turned to Elton and said, "come on Elton its your turn now".
Elton said "I don't think I can get my head through those railings"

Very good! I'll and that to the collection.

Re:Er.....

How about diced carrot colour for BarryD, champion puker extraordinaire?

Dark brown for Colin, famed teapot chucker.

Something gravy coloured with a wipe clean surface for our beloved Pauline who can dribble food down a blouse with the best geriatrics.

Electric blue for the Crispys, the shocking couple.

White with spots for you know who.

More brown for Haydn in case of any toilet troubles.

And pink with a dark brown stripe up the middle for myself of course!!

Any More?
