The reason being:
the wheels are tall enough to pull the dingy out with the motor down.
When flipped down great for entering shallow water when you are uncertain of the depth to avoid prop strike
***NB the assembly can be removed undoing one bolt per leg leaving just a bracket on aiding folding and stowage without consuming any extra space. The bracket is safe from damaging PVC etc
Downside
Wheels are a bit narrow for very sandy beaches. I'm toying with the idea of putting fatter wheels on.
