Hi,

I will be mooring at Langstone harbour this year and wondered if there is any received wisdom as to which, if any, a/f works well there ? Recommendations from Langstone denizens most welcome but suggestions from anyone who's moored under similar circumstances (harbour with fresh water intake as well as salt) welcome too.

People seem to recommend Jotun SeaQueen but I have no secret stock so recs for a/f that's readily available are preferred...

Thanks,

Boo2

At LSC we launch and recover our boats as a communal effort, and at Autumn everyone always looks how each others' antifouling got on, and asks what did we use ?

No hard and fast answer, but I have noticed the cheapo brands do not fare well; I find Cruiser Uno does relatively well.

I kept Temptress there for a few years and used Micron Extra. Great results but not the cheapest option maybe?

Now in the Caribbean. BEST here is Sea Hawkins Island 44 with TBT, Tin and added coppers.....

I'm next door in Portsmouth Harbour; Micron Extra also seems to do well here but it's not cheap as already stated. A lot of boats do use Uno but I have no personal experience of it.

Moored at Tudor at the top of Langstone and use Jotun SeaGuardian.
Works well, but hard to find supplies ( I have a 20Ltr tin with about 1 seasons worth left!)
On the internet or boat jumbles is the best option.
Guy at Solent Jumble last weekend had a 20Ltr tin of Seaforce 30 for £185 but it was green!
