Besenzoni remote control

When I went through this process a few years ago, it was a real challenge to find remotes that worked with Besenzoni as I believe they have some rolling security feature.
As I said earlier I believe these are IR remotes. My recollection is the original remote and these knock offs only work when the eye on the transom actually sees the IR beam.

They don’t appear to still be available......I have tried other cheap key fobs from Amazon....all without success.
You have to remember, MapisM is a genius....I’m....somewhat less.
Thanks for the appreciation, but I'm not sure my competence on this particular matter deserves such qualification.
It's just a matter of looking at the real source of this stuff, which obviously ain't Amazon:
Mini Universal Infrarot Lernfernbedienung Verwendung für TV/SAT/DVD/CBL/DVB-T Kopierfunktion Ersatz CHUNGHOP RM-L7 - AliExpress 44

I don't think that's correct according to the description. The image on the left is their remote, the one on the right, an original for reference.
I think you can buy different models of Besenzoni remotes...but the one I have isn’t available

There are definitely different types of Besenzoni remote, depending on the model and age of the passerelle. My boat was supplied with two RF remotes which looked similar to yours. However, they consumed batteries at a rate of knots and both failed within the first 24 months. I replaced them with a different more recent model of Besenzoni OEM remote which has proven to be reliable and from the main remote I get a full season of use from a single CR2032 battery. The replacements were €120 each.

The passerelle on my 2019 boat is definitely RF and not IR ... you can operate it from up to 50m away and without line of sight. You can pair up to four remotes with the same controller. I was told by the local Besenzoni dealer that there is a rolling code feature for additional security to prevent accidental opening by another boat's remote.

I can change the entire control mechanism…and this will allow me to use my iPhone to control it. But it’s a €1000 upgrade

Correct. I have one but it's not in great shape. The rc unit is a self learning one so just a matter of holding the 2 units close to each other and pressing a few buttons. As you'll probably remember from previous posts I'm essentially a tech numpty so if I can, anyone can.
This was from 2021 when I got the replacement remotes.

The remotes have arrived.....I will train them tonight....unfortunately I can’t get to the boat until Saturday to test it

35 minutes, and no response. Jesus, I hope he hasn't fried the house 🫣
I have trained it.....there was no explosion nor any shattering of glass...merely some LED flashing. Now I have been down this road before... I bought some small remotes off Amazon....but they were not successful. Anyhow markc says these ones are good.....so I bought two and he might owe me €16.......but boating is an optimist’s hobby so I am always hopeful
