Hi all, I am thinking of insulating our berth to reduce the amount of condensation under the matress. I am told Ventair works quite well but will be nearly 80 squids.! Is there a better and/or cheaper solution that anyone has found? Thanks in advance.

People use thin bendy wood laths which have a bit of give and breath often purchased from IKEA (for beds) and cut to size.
I used 'artificial' horse hair Like a fabric brillo pad !! and bought from classic car guys like Wollies trims.

Don,t know about better, but we have found 'Ventair' well worth what it cost, It was a vastly less than £80!, we live aboard, Irish winters are damp and it did the bizz last winter there. Bill.

That sounds like the basis of the ventair system! Bill.

Ventair is excellent, almost as good is rubber shower matting, provided you get one with good deep grooves that will allow the passage of air, easy to use and stow and cheaper than Ventair
