I want to sail my yacht from Gib to Bermuda around May !
Does anyone have any ideas as to the best passage and more importantly the situation regarding leaving the boat there long term. In particular cost, where in Bermuda and safety!

You might want to have a look at The Atlantic Crossing Guide, 4th Edition -- by Anne Hammick. Personally I found it a bit nannyish in tone but it does have the routes and harbour info on Bermuda. Cheapest source (I think) is amazon. ($31.46).

Hurricane season

Sounds like your plan will put you in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Bermuda is in the hurricane zone, hurricane season is June to October. Tell that to Olga, someone.
