A friend of a friend is looking after a Beneteau 50 and running the engine each week for one hour. Lately the VDO battery monitor display board is showing a flashing 'Fresh Water' sign with a number '2' in a triangle underneath, plus an empty looking digital display of a water gauge.
But what is this display? Is it the drinking water tanks? If so why has it only just started beeping and flashing? Does the drinking water tank provide fresh water to the engine cooling system?
Any pointers?
