Can someone suggest the best source for genuine Beneteau yacht parts ?
Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

My recent experience of spares from Beneteau is not encouraging. Supplied via Foxs, a replacement helical screw for the lifting keel of my Beneteau First 285 failed at sea after only 6 months' use. The surveyor reported that the failure was due to a defective ring-weld. The subsequent legal wrangle revealed that Beneteau simply walk away from their after-sales responsibility by pointing to the small print that says that they will only cover the costs of repairing/replacing the defective item, not the labour costs, lift-out costs, survey costs and any claim for 'loss of amenity' during the repairs. This is a loop-hole in the application of UK consumer law, but the reality is that the cost of pursuing a claim is not justified in most cases. My advice? If feasible, get someone to make the spare you need; avoid dealing with Beneteau at all costs (literally!).

hello
depends what you want, most of the bits on a bene, much like the bits on most AWBs, are available from manufacturers a lot cheaper. Foxes are the best stockists and posters of all the ones I have tried, ie Ancasta, Maiden, Dickies.
