I am thinking of buying one of these and was wondering if anybody has any advice/experience of them. Reviews on the net seem to be favourable. Recomendations for alternatives around the £100K to £130k would be of interest. My initial marina visits give me the impression that BavBenJenDuf boats are almost identical pound for pound with the ben arguably the best finish inside, with the bav the poorest in that respect. My interest is cruising not racing. My priorities are not sailing performance but rather all round general cruising pleasure and comfort in a modern spacious boat. Out of interst does anyone know what kind of discounts should be expected on a brand new AWB? It would be good to get some kind of idea so I know where I stand if I decide to go for a new one. Thanks everyone.

[/ QUOTE ]If this is your plan and you are not wishing to go blue water cruising; crossing oceans and sail in force 10; then you have chosen a wonderful comfortable good weather cruiser that will give you a lot of comfort and pleasure. I have seen a lot of these in the Med and they seem to be one of the perfect Med cruisers.

But don't forget the choice you are making; what you label 'sailing performance' can suddenly become very important to you when you are caught out in a F9 Meltemi and short seas in the Aegean.

'There is no perfect boat. Every boat is a compromise. You just have to find the compromise that works for you'.
