Good evening,

anybody got any experience good or bad please?

I‘ve had my heart set on a prin V39/40 but I just don’t like the rolling roof arrangement of the soft top and it seems to leak on the 3 I’ve seen.

The Beneteau seems a better arrangement with the solid sliding roof

there’s stuff on it which would take some getting used to like layout and central helm but at £100k saving on a 2018 model think it may be worth exploring?

Thank you

Dave

I like the GT40 and in particular the longitudinal aft cabin which for me would be the master. I also think the central helm works well. The one thing I don't like is that the galley appears inadequate for my needs. It's a tiny work surface which is non existent once the hob and sink is accounted for, What does puzzle me is that in a market where boats are literally flying off the shelf - there seem to be quite a few of these on the market in the UK. A GT38 sold pretty quickly but this was at a much lower price point.

They have a good hull. Finishing is not on par with Princess, you can feel the economy and Ikea finishing of it all. Still you cannot say they are bad boats.
The 40 GT, is an evolution of the 37 MC, which became a 38, and now a 41.

Another very nice boats (for me possibly the best looking Hard-top) would be the Sessa C38. I would definitely put the Sessa on the top of the list if looking for a boat a hard-top sport cruiser in that size.

Thanks for your replies. I’ll check out Sessa. To be honest I’m just finding it hard to get my head around spending over £400k for the Princess V40 but I fear that’s where I may end up ☹️

That Sessa C38 looks very nice. It appears to have a proper sliding hardtop and not the fabric type one one the V39/40
