Hi all

first sorry to keep posting but i'm on a steep learning curve now....

Does anyone know if the Antares comes fitted with NMEA 2000 networking as standard or is it an optional extra. I am looking to fit a WiFi or Blue tooth data network so I can get detailed engine data through this system but I dont know if my boat is equipped with the backbone needed to fit this.

the boat is fitted with Ray marine A70d GPS and plotter and on the fly ST70 also the usual Volvo Penta screens. The ST70 requires the A70d to be powered on before any data is received on the ST70. I only get depth from the display assuming that a single transducer is fitted and no other sensors.

Not quite sure just what I should be looking for to determine if the NMEA is fitted. Any help would be terrific.

Hi Bill-can you get behind the dashboard & look at the back of the A70D display? If so, the left hand plug as you look at it from behind is the Seatalk NG cable, which is what the NMEA interface plugs into.

On the Volvo side, you can go through the EVC menu & it will say if an NMEA2000 interface is plugged in or not. I’ll send through the process of which buttons to press to find the relevant info next week if I can!
