Thought this looked brilliant value..

** SPECIAL CHRISTMAS OFFER **
We are offering a lift-out, 30 minute fresh water wash-down and re-launch for just £55 (inc VAT) for boats up to 9m. Badly soiled hulls may incur a small additional charge. Pre-bookings only. Terms and Conditions apply. Subject to availability. Offer ends Sunday 17th December.

Hope they’ve got a new batch of strops, a little birdy told me one failed this summer and a extremely expensive sports boat went for a jolly down the slipway while being launched and only stopped when it crashed into some machinery - whoops! The manager at the time is no longer working there.............

Your birdie was wrong. No strops. It's a forklift .

I’m aware that a forklift is used for most of the dry-sail boat movements, however the chap I know who was working here - https://www.facebook.com/Bembridge-...GsG2bcd8H2cN6JQmAuSH7qNmxpGex9_fU8uMkPL7qK8lg, made a custom cradle to pull out a very, very expensive American sports boat - told it was around 32 foot, after the required work was finished the boat was being lowered down a slip way by the manager using a tractor or forklift (?) and the connecting strop between the vehicle and the cradle failed sending the boat out of control down the slipway where it crashed. The manager is now the ex-manager - I know him personally
