Belgium red diesel

We had good wind so we decided to not stop in Belgium and went all the way to the Netherlands and stopped in Vlissingen .
I have to say the berth are tight and you get one go to get in , any side wind and you get it wrong you be pin on to other boats .
So be where anyone looking for a berth here .
Nice town .

Sardinia not too shabby, there's actual sailing wind most of the time and the Mistral clears away the Sunday sailors. Part for our furler is on back-order, might be stuck here a while, but good place to be stuck (better than Licata). Getting it shipped to the DHL service point on the ferry quay, according to new friends we met here this works fine (knock on wood).

Enjoy Holland and watch your keel, I hear it's shallow! :)

We had our one furler problem . 35 kts and we tryed to reef the Gen only to find it won't furl the halyard wrap around the fold ,
Did fancy Trying to sort it out in tho wind and sea , needless to say it was the quicky 80nm sail we done for a while .
 
You'll soon get the hang of box moorings. Go in backwards. Get windward lines on as you go in, sling out some fenders to leeward. Most harbours ask for your beam so as to give you a cosy box so that you can reach the posts. Once you are in properly you don't touch other boats which is good if it is windy. There are often willing helpers to catch your stern line. All part of the fun.

That looks a bit like the Cala di Volpe where I've sat out a mistral - delicous herby smell from the hot shrubs

I remembr your advice thanks , this marina don't have enough room from boats at opposite each other, add to that one heck of a side wind .
There was one, chance only to get it right or endup side on to other boats ,
I think it was more luck then skill that I got it in
