Belatedly a few pictures from the Maidstone River Festival
A good attendance considering the on/off nature of the event
My little tub following a T36 and a P440 out of Allington lock.
Some of the raft race contenders
A few old scores being settled between rivals
Waiting for the evening boat parade
A candidate for a Tate Modern or proof of what "Leffe" can do to your ability to take photos.
Only thing to rival all those those Thames "Punchupatlocks" head lines was the following tale.,,,ahem
Man wants to go up to pub.
SWMBO sayes NO.
Man announces he is off the pub....come what may.
Wife informs him that if he goes up pub,she will...................set fire to boat.
He goes up pub....
She sets fire to boat......
Wife sets fire to boat again !
Wife pulled from burning boat.
Wife is arrested.
Ps this is all third hand info,but a Bayliner was definately harmed during this event.
