Being in all aspects ready for sea

Electrics all working

[/ QUOTE ]Smug gits! Dontcha just hate 'em - "Oh yes, never had any problem with our Eberspächer.... we have a little man who regularly services it for us" etc etc etc.......

Our Eberspächer, which has been pretty reliable in the main, now appears to suffer from the Curse of Claymore. I'd better add it to the list; <ul type="square"> new prop shaft
new engine
new prop (yes the old one went the other way)
new diesel tank
new water tank
new gas line
fix the Eberspächer
find the funny electical fault in the heads light [/list] After several contented and relatively trouble-free seasons, I suppose we have to be reminded of why we go sailing...........

New flares last year, lifejackets are all ok and the gas installation has been checked. All the bilge pumps are fine although I did have a wee problem when my mobile jumped out of my pocket and executed a fine round turn, barrel loop, double salza and piked on entry as it landed in the darkest recesses of the bilge - 2 hours with a fishing net later it was out although inoperable!

ah, perhaps it was the qty of whisky carried that forced the engine servicing?

hmmmm, sounds like therein lies another story. Please feel free to elaborate. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re:Curtains for Claymore?

[ QUOTE ]
Aha, a major refit then. I hope you got some help with the curtains too.

[/ QUOTE ]

I notice the prominence given to claymore's curtains too.

What kind of sailing man puts curtains on his checklist? What dark things go on below decks that Claymore is so careful to keep secret?/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
