So Gary is going to be wearing Lycra ?

How far have we cycled?

About 3.5 km, by the time we get back to Yarmouth it will be about 7 kms.

How far is Gary cycling ?

Well he’s not the only one but I think they are doing 68 miles.

So we’ve done a 10th of their ride.

No, we’ve done km, they are doing miles.

How many km is 68 miles ?

About 110 give or take. They are doing about 15 times this distance.

Are they cycling on tracks like this or roads ?

Roads.

And Gary’s wearing Lycra ?

Yes.

I promised Gary that i would not become a MAMIL and i am going to hold that promise!!!

The guys at OV are doing a fine job at arranging a welcome reception for us when we cross the line with bbq and beer and cakes and then the only obvious thing to do is fill up on beer to numb the inevitable pains!

Be great to see lots of people there.
 
Oops, I thought it was this weekend. Just negotiated a weekend boating pass with SWMBO.

So dilemma, do I take the pass for this weekend and go for another negotiation for next weekend when I've got it wrong and can't let my mate Gary down?

Afternoon all,

A small request from the Ocean Village team.

If you are planning to attend by water please could you call (02380 229 385) them and give them your details. This goes for both MDL berth holders looking to use Freedom Berthing and non berth holders looking to take advantage of the very generous offer that has been offered my MDL. They have a couple of boats booked in already from Forum members and they will of course try and accommodate everyone on the day who shows up but if would really help them if they had an idea from those looking to arrive by water and needing a berth, either short stay of for the night.

I dont want to tempt fate but the long range forecasts are saying that the heat wave is starting on Friday this week so it could be a lovely weekend!
