Can we add ourselves as possibles? Our problem is trying to find somewhere to put the kids. If anyone can recommend a babysitter in the area willing to look after two (pretty) well behaved nippers on a boat at the Chandlery Barge please let me know!

Searush, if Swanwick doesn't work out, there is a "proper" camp site next to Mercury. I guess you might want power etc, it being November.

I'm sure somebody will leave their boat there and get a taxi round after. Costs about a tenner iirc.

Nah, proper Pikeys us, fully self-sufficient, can easily manage 3-4 days without refilling or emptying any tanks or charging batteries - and I still haven't bothered to fit the solar panels in the garage. Heating is LPG powered blown air & very effective. Anyway, Kwakas & me is used ter sleepin' in the snow after a few beers.

If the marina dont want you, there's a public car park along Swanwick Shore Rd - just at the back of the Old Ship. Okey Dokey, that's all sorted then. I can confirm The Old Ship has been booked for Saturday 15th November and I've updated the first post with the details. Suggest we arrive from 7pm to have a few drinks in the bar and then those who want to eat can mooch on down to the lower dining area from 8pm. They can cater for 55-60 sittings so plenty of room yet for those wanting to join and have a bite to eat.

Searush/Kwackers, I enquired about the motorhome for you asking if you could park up in the pub car park, this was Simon's response:

Gary, your link points to the pub car park and the used car lot over the road outside Andark. If you follow my link, or zoom out from yours a couple of times you can see cars parked along the riverside, on Swanwick Shore Rd as above. Swanwick is down the road from home when in the UK.
 
Just confirmed with the wife and pooches that we'll be there, just got to book a berth at Swanick.

Just 1 thing, is Steve coming? If so will go and buy my new foulies now lol
