Beer and Natter - The Old Swan (Swanwick) 15th Nov

I think we're overdue one of these.

For those who have yet to participate in a Beer and Natter meet, don't be shy, it's a great way to meet fellow forumites and I think it's fair to say, past events have been a very enjoyable evening, nothing fancy, as the title denotes, turn up, drink beer, have a natter and an informal bite to eat if the fancy takes you. Look forward to meeting you if you decide to come along :encouragement:

Arrangements made for The Old Ship in Swanwick, Saturday the 15th Nov. Arrive around 7pm. The table is booked for 8pm. Drinks at the bar first:encouragement:

Gary - I was going to do a similar post but suggesting we meet up either in Yarmouth @ Salty's / Lymington @ Rivaaz or Lymington Yacht Haven or Chichester Harbour as be good to get the boats out for the weekend and have a good blast.

Just a thought - Your call

Terry :encouragement:

Good stuff Terry, sounds like we have two keen participants already :) I'll go with the flow but considering a few folk will likely be looking at lifting out for the winter soon and the notorious ify weather this time of year, I'd suggest we plumb for a mainland venue. Will see what folk reckon as the thread builds.

Cheers Gary

Will try to be there.

Anyone around at The Island somewhere or perhaps Lymington tomrrow. Wind forecast OK after a wet & windy week, so going somewhere.

Gary boat lift out in the winter these guys are missing something here - Solent is deserted in the winter :encouragement:

Also it is not too bumpy only the Solent Chop you need to travel further afield where the big guns go ha ha ;)

LD planning to go to Poole & Brighton weather dependent though for the later as a carp entrance there amongst others

Mmmmmm personally, I'd give Brighton a miss unless you're going there just for the Brighton night/day life. Nothing but nothingness once out the marina, very zzzzzzzz on the scale of boating enjoyment
