Just remember who by;). I saw you coming down from Swanwick this afternoon. You were passing Universal as I was coming back from sea trial. You were inside, SWMBO outside struggling with a big ball ............. fender.

Ah, it was you. 40 foot ish flybridge 4 or 5 on board, bloke on the bow waved to us. Directions being given to crew in an assertive manner :)

I did let her back in once she'd sorted out the fenders. I love the Princess boats in that you have decent enough visibility to be able to helm from down below. Radio nice and clear, everything easily to hand. And warm :)

Good to meet you last night. A lot of "forum" meet ups end up being a bit dry with very little interaction until people get back home on their computers. I think we're lucky on here that, judging by the last two gatherings, there is a decent crowd of people who you actually enjoy sharing a pint with!

All the best

Henry :)

Good to see everyone last night and I can also confirm the rumour about a certain forum member having deep pockets and short arms is not true!!!

That was the potential new owners son over from Norway. It was an interesting boat. Based on a Colvic hull which was pretty good. Nice pair of Cummins, but it was a bitch to steer. Very very small rudders that were useless at anything below 8/10 knots which made it interesting coming up the river.

Nice to meet you.

Thanks from the FlowerPowers for organising.
Everyone enjoyed the evening, and for one, it was "love at first sight" ... Sophie went to sleep dreaming about small dogs :o

The pesky word we couldn't remember: FREEBOARD

And a "what was it" picture that caused me a mini-drama on the way across:

Most of 'em, I think, but I was just chucking the pieces angrily overboard into the Solent as I found them, so not much chance to check that I had enough bits to make a complete one.

I'll take the exhaust elbow and heat exchanger end cap off later to check for leftovers. Advantage of having the strainer AFTER the pump is that it catches the pieces when this happens.

Impellor was brand new

Gary,

thanks for organising a great evening.

Pleased to say I was a lot better behaved this time, eating at the pub helped, so I can remember most of the evening.

Or at least right up until the point we stopped in at the Boathouse in Swanwick Marina on the way back to the boat.........

Just hope I didn't start singing Cornish rugby songs!
