Looks like I'm one of the few who actually like Earl's court , the simple reason being that it's slap bang in the middle of winter. I bought a Tinker Tramp tender/sailing package. Liked the look of the new Avon liferaft made out of a new material called butyl whick makes it very compact. Shame about the price.

Buy cheap buy twice...

....as they say in Yorkshire! The price is soon forget but the quality is long remembered, so if it is like your new boat Bill I suspect this old saying will apply!

The timing of Earls Court is great - lets you buy all those things you need in time for the winter fit-out etc. or order a new boat. Its just the venue sucks.

I suggest that you check the street parking in the vicinity of Seagrave Road. (Off Brompton Road on South side of halls). I went two days, Friday and Sunday and parked in street within two minutes of arriving on both days. As previous poster says, about £1 per hour, first four hours and £1.50 after. (Sunday free). five min walk to EC2 entrance.

For Homebase, drive North up Warwick Road until you see it on left.

You can't miss it if you go north up Warwick Road, keep going past the HUGE Tesco and it is on the left. By the way there is an amazing good value internet cafe at tesco-£2 per hour including a hot drink!

4 x adult returns from Yorkshire down the east coast line £54 the lot! 10 tube tickets - £11.50 (the left overs are valid for a year). Went on Saturday, thoroughly enjoyed it, managed to spend lots of money. Most expensive? New liferaft. Best? The new Navtex, small, flush mounted and won't take much space. The most useful? New anode for the stripper. The daftest? A folding trolley. All those carriers came in useful.

Enjoyed the sarnies at Pret a manger too.

Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
