Bearing sizes for lofrans tigres

There is 1 thrust bearing and 3 ball races inside the windlass. It is hard to get lofrans parts here, but if I can get the spec of the bearings I can probably get them here, or order them. Can anyone tell me the specs of the above?

I don't know where you are, but if you are anywhere near a bearing supplier, and you are going to strip the windlass down, then remove the bearings and take them to be matched.

Yes, obviously. Unfortunately there's no bearing supplier here. I have to order them from another island - hence needing the specs.

Can you see the bearing reference number engraved/etched on the edges of the outer shell?

No guarantee this is correct but try this ....... If you look here Lofrans Tigres Windlass Parts and scroll down to part 323 is says "Bearing 6005". Search google for "Bearing 6005" and you get, for example, SKF 6005 Open Deep Groove Ball Bearing 25x47x12mm Simply Bearings Ltd . Do the same for the thrust bearing.

not really of much help other than I took mine apart back in 2012 and jotted down the numbers on the 3 seals:

TAURUS S.0332 42 35 6 4 [x2 on the main axle for rope & gipsy]

TAURUS 000889 35 25 7 3 [x1 short axle towards the el.motor]

bearings I just took them to the shop and got like for like and didn't bother writing down the codes :-(
