Beaching Experience & Locations etc

Recommend you check it out in advance at low water.

What about the beach to the east of Bradwell Power station.? I have seen a wayfarer ashore there on a calm day.

I beached my hunter channel 323 near there a couple of years ago using the west wall of the power station as a transit while heading in. All went well at first but as the tide fell the port side keel broke through the hard surface. The boat ended up heeling at about 20 degrees and scrubbing the port side could notbe completed.
I think I’ll stick to Brightlingsea hard in future!

If you use my position quoted on post #8 the beach is gently shelving. I know it a Weymarks Beach, but do check it a low water first as the beach can change shape year to year.

Better still mark where you want to go with a weight, line and a marker.
