Our delivery trip from Frejus to Beaulieu sur Mer is pencilled in for 4 Aug. We are planning a 10ish departure and can either run straight back to Beaulieu or stop somewhere for lunch. We won't have a tender so I looking for a lunch stop recommendation around Cannes (its about 1/2 way) with a boat service to collect us.

Top tips are strongly welcomed.

Filling a couple of gaps inbetween
Agay - moor on bouy for an hourly rate ( not all day ) they by radio will send a tender out to collect /drop off .
Loadsa restaurants ave quality sea side drag .
Moving further E the Lerins ,anchor under the castle in Margarette ( sp?) N side ,it's a bit posh being near Cannes ,rib boy will come out ,priced to reflect starter € 20-30. Mains €60-80 a super yachy kinda pace .
Or the actual tiny village near where the ferry drops off has a wooden jetty ,you can moor free ,Med style if busy or side on if not.
A few "normal " boggo punter restaurants in the eyeline if the jetty .
Just follow the yellow bouys in .
Btw it's 8 knots between the islands and Cannes California and only 3 m in parts .

Otherwise as Nick says but that,s often crowded the Cap d Antibes bay .

Hope that helps ,I,ll be looking out for you around the Lerins 4 th .
You could of couse just gets some nosh from the petite Casino in your marina before setting off and just anchor up between the Lerins .
About 1hr to the Lerins and another 1 hr ish to BSM I reckon .

If its any reassurance I have a full toolkit etc on board if you get stuck .

Check where the VP prop spanners are before you set off incase you to have to untangle a pot , they come up fast @25 knots compared to 5knots .Pack a mask n snorkel incase !
Recomend two pairs of eyes up front looking until you get used to spotting them .

Congratulations on the new boat.

Plage Keller/Restaurant Le Cesar in Baie de la Garoupe or La Guerite on the Ile Saint Marguerite would be my recommendations as well. Both very nice, but likely to be busy at this time of year so call ahead to book.

Thanks,

I had heard of La Guerite and it looks great on its website. Having emailed them about a tender service they wanted me to call. It winks, I can't say it doesn't. Also my wife is hooked on the Ille St Marguerite rosé so we have to go at some stage.

Le Cesar looks good too and I have just sent a link home for the finance committee. The main thing will be wanting to run straight to BSM as I have a cave full of stuff I need to unpack and move back down to the port.

Grabbing something from the Casino at Frejus might end up being the winner. But I know that as we round the point at St Jean the soft whisper of Paloma will come across the waves!
