Funniest advice i heard on the news was ' people should make sure they have their phones charged' !!!! It must be terrible not being able to have facebook or candycrush in the event of a powercut

As I understand it tropical depressions or hurricanes that have already been given a name by the Americans will not be re-named by the met office. As this would be confusing. They will be known as ex-hurricane Larry or whatever. Ex-hurricane Kate and Abigail are not the same depressions and are separate entities.
