So, didn't go boating today because the BBC weather forecast for Marlow was 'light rain'. Which after last weekends poor weather, was a bit carp.

Now 'light rain' to me means rain all day (not the odd shower), drizzle, damp etc. And to top this was a brisk wind, which they did get right.

Turns out it has been pretty dry today with bright spells. Not 'light rain'

How can you believe any forecast from the BBC, which I assume they get from the Met Office?

By the way, where else should one go for the most accurate inland forecast?

Wasted a day at home gardening and shopping. Zzzzzzzzzz

Yes. The website and the new phone app. But it has been pretty hit & miss recently.

Not too worried normally, but with 'summer' here, friends ask to come on the river so some planning is involved. So it's good to know what the weather is supposed to be doing.

Will look out of the window.

They all change daily!

Just go out on the Thames, and take a selection of clothes. Sometimes you get lucky...
