Laurie Holloway(composer of such gems as the Blind Date theme tune)was on Chris Evans Radio2 breakfast show today. He mentioned that his neighbours include Parky and Rolf, so his location should be obvious to most. "Are you at risk if flooding at this time of year?" Asked Evans. "Not anymore" replied Holloway. "Since they built the new river, it only floods the paupers further down".

Nice.

Watching Paint dry...Music for Shopping Malls and Lifts. R2.

O yes R2 ...for those tired of life, unable to quite cope with a changing world and seeking refuge from the possibility (however remote) of exposure to any type of music more exciting than that found in most lifts.

RCC has finally managed to wean itself away from an apparently inexhaustible supply of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Micheal Bubble impersonaters which were infesting our social do,s.

Why,we actually had a rock and roll band in recently which probably had no idea that the dirge "My Way" was not a compulsory title on any play list.
That the calendar on your wall no longer has 1950 at the top by the way......
:):):).

pau·per (pô p r) n. 1. One who is extremely poor. 2. One living on or eligible for public charity.

I am sure those down river will be very "pleased" with the comments of Laurie Holloway, shame on him. He would not think so funny if the public stopped buying his music in protest.

I heard it and thought it odd that he chose to mention a convicted sex offender as his neighbour. Let's agree that for most of us, 'that sort of thing' next door would probably not be raised to the fore. Perhaps he remains a fan of Rolf?

Anyway, here's an article about Rolf apparently groping a seven or possibly eight year old girl. If he groped my seven year old I would punch him in the face etc...

Please read it:

I can't think of a radio station with a greater variety of music and other programmes that a commercial couldn't possible do. The Now Show is excellent.
I do most of my radio listening while afloat and really enjoy the traffic reports when they're terrible and I couldn't care less:D I also admit to listening to the shipping forecast on R4, even though I'm safely tucked up on the non tidal Thames. I don't understand it, but it make me feel terribly grown up and boaty:D

The NOW SHOW is on Radio 4.Radio 4 is what keeps people with brains sane in this world.
Radio 2 is paint drying music for people who think they look cool in beige and wrinkles. :)

Also played on R2 for the discerning listener. I shall tell my chum, Mitch that you're a fan, although I think he was hoping for a younger audience
