Like many I surfed the programmes on sky to find no BBC channel had the Fastnet Race! If anyone can provide a DVD of this programme I am happy to reimburse all costs. Please pm me. If anyone can sort out the BBC so that I can see what is actually on I am happy to pay a bonus!!

I watched it , and thought that a programme of such a good subject could hardly have been done worse. There was scope for explaining why the weather worked in the way that it did, and what happened to the boats, but no, just a regurgitation of previous footage.

wasnt expecting to see new video footage of the action. Was expecting to see more background on what caused the disaster (met info) changes to yacht design since etc
was not expecting to see footage of drum upside down after loosing her keel on a totally seperate incident, or interviews with an embittered politician.

Don't waste any money on this programme, it wasn't worth watching. Just a few frames of a yacht sailing in fresh conditions, shown several times, and not much else. An extreme disappointment.

I have a video of the programme (not a DVD though) taped direct from Sky so the quality is not bad. You're welcome to it if you PM me with you address.

Didn't realise Gordon Brown was involved.

Seriously, was Head Teeth bitter in the film? I met him a couple of times in a sailing environment and he pretty relaxed.

Yep, the keyboards deff working.

Why not put up a "Just practising, please ignore" post, then we won't keep opening it to see if there's anything interesting being said. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

you cannot use html, only the assigned markup tags

click on the preview button before you send, then you can see results of your experiments before actually sending (use back button rather than send after previewing
