Timothy Spall continues on his journey round the south coast in his 52ft tin barge with the NOISEST olde diesel engine you have ever heard in your life .

No airs or graces .....nice relaxed bit of boating and all at a heady 7 knots.
Tent boat speed demons and flybridge admirals need not watch. :)

We watched it last week and really enjoyed it.

Recording it again tonight so we can watch it tomorrow. 10.30pm is far too late for a school night!!!!

I am amazed

There has not been a thread devoted to it on the MOBO side or Scuttlebutt, the lack of lifejackets (or not done up) navigating by road map.....

All of course for show!

Shared experience .

"Damn, missed it. "

Repeated soon .

A very entertaining half hour last night ,giving a real sense of the trepidation felt before and during a longish journey over unknown ground,be it be beyond Teddington lock for the first time or in this case out at sea round the Lizard, followed by that feeling of achievement when you nip down to a local pub for a well deserved beer*.

*Stuff on the boat never tastes quite as good.

Love that guy, met him in Cookham once on his narrowboat.

Have you noticed when he gets stressed his voice goes up an octave and he almost slips into "Brummie Mode"

Brilliant TV, wish it was an hour long...
