BBC 2 Now = Three Men in a Boat

We had quite a few at PYH as well last winter/spring.... rafted up three deep if I recall near the fuel birth.....

PYH didnt mind as each boat was apparently paying the full visitors fees.... even though rafted up, no one on board etc...

It was entertainment and that's all.

GRJ managed to give the impression of a sailor who takes it all very seriously and I don't doubt from watching it, that he knows what he is doing. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
As to the two loud mouths, they are just there to take him apart in the name of entertainment.

They did grate a little on the nerves I will admit, but I stopped listening to them after 10 minutes and the show was much improved as a result.

Wish I could find a boat licenced for commercial use, fitted with a few bells n whistles, a nice kicker outboard and complete with Carley float on the roof for £250.
The lying dog. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Overall it was IMO worth watching, just needs two big mouthed clots getting rid of. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

The Boat owner.

You can ...
Step on his blue suede shoes.
Criticise his sexual prowess.
Call him or his car driving crap.
Make him a cuckcold.
Infer that his politics suck.

but never

Dare to suggest his choosen hobby as being on a par with darts or knitting by the general public as a pastime and which possibly needs a little humour to make it watchable. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think some folks are taking it a bit too seriously. Yes we all know some of it is staged, no way £250 on ebay for that boat for instance, as others have said Top Gear is often staged, but its great entertainment, and thats how this should be viewed.

Plus I've got to see parts of the west country cruising looks fab. Fowey plus up to Falmouth. Have to visit one day, just need to look on ebay for a cheap boat :~)

"ebay for a cheap boat "
Keep putting in Princess V50 under £250 ,but system seems to sieze up and go into sulk mode!
