The port trim tab on my 2655SE is not lifting fully and is slower than the starboard one. It will go up the last inch if you pull it by hand whilst operating the switch. I have topped up with fluid and it seems to have loosened after a few "manual pull ups" however I am not convinced it is right. Any ideas.

My port one jammed down (QL tabs, a Volvo subsidiary) until I disconnected the line - then it stayed up! Tested hinges, rams, pump motor, solenoids, battery voltage, wiring . . . and the diagnosis? An intermittent fault in one of the DPDT switches on the instrument panel.
And I thought the problem was at the blunt end!

NOT MEANT TO BE CHEEKY BUT DO YOU HAVE MUCH CALL TO USE TRIM TABS ON WINDERMERE WHAT WITH SPEED RESTRICTION ?

Yep more than ever. Its really helpfull to have tabs fully down at low speeds as it tends to keep yer bow down and assist a little in low speed steering due to planing hull not liking sub planing speeds.
Oh and by the way "what speed limit" no one told me, that explains why the wardens keep pointing that camera thing at me /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
