Bayliner Ciera

Recent smaller Bayliners with diesel are still extremely rare.

I've seen some earlier ones (early 1990's) that have been converted from Petrol which seemed good value (23k ish).

What size Liam??

Try this site in the brokerage boats for sale, or try http://www.boats-for-sale.com

An example on the above site some months back was a Ciera 2655 wide body converted to GM V8 diesel going at £23k. Looked good.

Liam, I understood from Poole Aquatic that all the 'sport- cruiser' range could be purchased with a diesel option. I bought a petrol 265 last spring, sold in autumn and the broker - Richard Bendall of IYSBC - informed me that ALL Ciera's up to the 285 are shipped from US with petrol and these are then swapped out for diesel in UK if the option were selected at time of ordering....

..... so where are all these unwanted and unused 300hp mercruiser gas guzzlers then?

Just a quick comment on after market diesel conversions.
Although a completely different boat,a princess 25 with a nice diesel conversion had been doing the brokers rounds for years.Problem was the asking price of nearly 20K.The seller was obviously trying to recoup his conversion outlay, but
he was up against a host of petrol boats starting from 8K.That engine in this particular boat was simply not worth the extra money.
