Next thing to ponder is whether the owner had All Risks / Transportation cover: haulage company standard cover can be pretty modest.

I think it was on owners trailer? Initially I thought it was a lorry, but that is the recovery vehicle's beaver-tail in the pic!

Looks like a 285 or larger which is over towable weight for a trailer / car combination?

Update: seems to have come off an HGV as part of an accident. According to the Standard the boat was worth £500k... not bad for a Bayliner....
