I have a Bayliner 3055 with KAD32's they lack power when the super chargers drop out at 2700rpm and it drops off the plane. I have measured the inlet manifold pressure and with super charges engaged they read about 16psi and as soon as the super chargers disengage the boost drops to zero even at 3500rpm. There is considerable wear on the turbo exhaust turbine, is there a waste gate? Would excessive wear on the turbo cause the boost to drop to zero? What boost pressure could I expect? I hope some one can help, Many thanks, Philip.

Well the end result was that there was excessive wear on the exhaust rotors and the cash housing around them. Two new Borg Warner turbos sorted the problem

You could have had the turbos refurbished which would have been a cheaper option then replacing with new units!

You can’t refurbish this model of turbo if the exhaust housing is worn , it’s pointless to rebuild if the rotor to housing clearance is excessive as you still won’t get the correct boost , I’ve scrapped hundreds over the years.

I’m surprised at that rpm there was zero boost , more like the rotor was seized
