Loving my recently purchased single engined Bayliner, however in the North East where it is moored we are subjected to some strong winds in the Marina which is taking the edge off my enjoyment, I find low speed manoevering very difficult, I have enquired about having a bow thruster fitted, but to justify the expence I would really like to know whether this will transform the low speed handling? My concern is that given the fairly shallow draught in the bow, will it be deep enough to "dig in" Any advice gratefully received.
