Bayliner 1802 cuddy cabin 1999 model

I am thinking of buying a bayliner 1802 cuddy cabin 1999 model. We have not yet been for a sea trial. However we have just been told that it is very unstable in the water and for this reason the model was discontinued after only two year's production. Can anyone please, please, shed any light before we go forward with the purchase???
