Agreed - BUT the Superb is not exactly a Skoda - even though badged ! And the price is not exactly Skoda level either ..... it can run out at higher than its parent mid-range Passat / low-range A4 ......

The Octavia is really the basic Passat in disguise ..........

Skoda Handling.

There is not a lot wrong with the Octavia handling.
I have won my Car Club's 2004 Grass Autotest Championship with my Diesel version.
