Hello,
We bought a Bavaria 35 Sport last fall and began almost immediately to renovate the boat. The blue line painted on the hull was in poor condition and needed to be repainted. The canopy was not in great condition and we needed a new. We therefore chose to change the color from blue to gray on both the canopy and the hull. We also had to sew up new pads and chose to put teak deck in the cockpit.

We are very pleased with the result:-)

Looks very smart. I owned a Bav29 for three years, the blue hull band had started to turn grey when I bought the boat and it was a constant struggle to get it back to clear blue.

I now own a Nimbus 27s - all white with a very narrow red hull band close to the water line. I would have preferred a blue band and I might well get it changed to blue one day.

Looks really nice Andreas, completely different feeling in the cockpit and the color change on the hull was very tasteful :encouragement: I see you keep the boat on the correct side of the country :D That size/type of boat is in my view perfect for our type of boating.

Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures

The changes look great - a melding of new colour scheme and older sleeker hull shape. We have a "new shape" 39 sport with Grey stripe and grey canopy and whilst we love it, it does look a bit more "tubby" than the older shape, so for me you have got everything right as I do like our colour scheme but actually prefer the sleeker look. How long did it take you to do ?

I would be interested to know if the canopy the original as the guy who looks after our boat reckons the factory supplied ones are only good for 2 - 3 seasons, but I am not sure if thats todays standards when cost cutting is probably more focussed. We actually had the plastic zip runners replaced within 7 months as they are cheaper than metal - but for Bavaria, the replacement to metal runners (under warranty) would have made that a false economy...

Yes :encouragement: West Coast = Best Coast

Thanks a lot, we have put a lot of time and money into the project and we are very pleased with the result. We bought the boat in September last year and it has been a ongoing project since that day :o
The canopy is made by a local manufacture and he says it will be good for 3 - 30 years... all about how you use it, our old canopy on the last boat hade still a good feeling and a lot of years left after 6 seasons (with plastic zip runners, one new in 6 years). We always let it dry before folding.

Looks great! I like the teak table - goes very nicely with the graphite silvertex :D

I'm glad you liked the table. We looked hard to find a good and sufficiently large table to the cockpit but without finding anything in the accessory shops.
At last I realized that we could use an old coffee table from the sixties. Only cost me 30 euros for a massive table in teak with the right size.
