Was woken the other night by the fridge trying to start but failing on low voltage. 3 by 110 amphr batteries. one was sligtly warmer than the other two.
Had been standing in Bruces yard for 9 months with a solar trickle charge. The first night without mains charge all went well. The batteiries were good all night, fridge running hard all night as well to getit down to temp.
Splashed and all was well for a week then this scenario showed.
I isolated the suspect this morning after a careful charging. 12.7 v after standing for a couple of hours, 11.30, so looking good. Put a 20 watt bulb across it, he voltage dropped to 12.6 within ten minutes and then proceeded to go down. By 15.30 it was down to 9v underload, 12v offload but dropped immediately to 9v on load again. so assuming 2 amp ish for the bulb, it dropped to flatter than flat in 5 hrs on a 2 amp load. Does the team think it is shagged?
